Artificial Intelligence Creates New Boundaries
Note: If the following information I wrote in 2023 seems like it's "so last year" that's because it is. In a few years AI has continued to change the way many people interact with eachother about information. So, read along if you want to recall what things were like a few years ago. How I'm adapting to AI comes at a later date. It's time to pack up your manual typewriter and landline folks because there's a new technology appearing faster than dandelions on your lawn.
Have I tried a ChatBot? Yes. I entered a simple "what is ..." question and within a minute or less received an answer that included a list of sources. The answer has no grammar mistakes and is easy to read. But I intend to check the information for accuracy with other resources.
Efficient. Productive. Competitive. Artificial intelligence (AI) now gives everyone a boost to a new level. With the recent announcements from five major companies in the digital world, OpenAI, Microsoft, Google and Mozilla, and Amazon that's what these five companies hope. And each one has a different use to make our lives different or better.
For anyone who doesn't appreciate the lastest version, AI might tell you via Chatbot-GPT4 to reach out and grow with the times. With a growth mindset, lots of potential likely exists. On the downside however, like a new employee who needs appropriate training to handle a new position, watch for misinformation as the AI tool tries to help.
And another thing to consider. Who trains the AI tool? The expression, quality before quantity, seems lost on AI because speed is everything. Think of speed for a while. Do we need an announcement every day that another feature is available to try and start using?
An AI tool wins the assignment race every time--but it depends on the data a human gives out in the first place. If I have an easier and healthier lifestyle then I'm on the bandwagon and agree with CHATBot-4 and the other AI tools.
The foundation of advances in computing for decades, artificial intelligence is more than ever, front and center. A dictionary I used when I bought my first computer defines the development. Computer User's Dictionary published by Microsoft Press in 1998, defines artificial intelligence:
The branch of computer science concerned with enabling computers to simulate such aspects of human intelligence as speech recognition, deduction, inference, creative response, and the ability to learn from experience.
The term chatbot isn't listed, but chat and bot are separate entries.
The letters, GPT, identify the technology: Generative Pre-trained Transformer. Get information about the latest and current version of ChatBot GPT-4, on the website OpenAI.

To conclude this brief look at AI, I have a few questions. Will all or some of these AI technologies make me smarter and healthier well into the future? Time will tell, to repeat an old saying. Personally, I don't intend to grab every new AI bot that comes along before I have the opportunity to read company statements and reviews.
After a few months of digesting AI, I now see Copilot preview has become part of my Windows 11. I feel a change in how I use technology is just around the corner.
